When timing matters more than cost
Air freight is the fastest way to move a shipment internationally — measured in days, not weeks. It costs more than ocean or ground, and it earns that cost back whenever a deadline can't move.
How it works
Air freight is priced by chargeable weight — whichever is greater between actual weight and volumetric (dimensional) weight — rather than by container space, which is why it favors shipments that are light relative to their size. Cargo moves through an origin airport, flies as freight (sometimes in the belly of a passenger aircraft, sometimes on a dedicated freighter), clears customs at the destination, and continues by ground to its final address.
Within air freight there are two common speeds: standard air, which consolidates shipments onto the next available flight, and express air, which prioritizes a shipment on the fastest routing available, usually with a guaranteed delivery window.
What's included
Express & Standard Options
Choose the speed that matches the deadline — express for guaranteed windows, standard for a lower cost when a few extra days are fine.
Door-to-Airport Pickup
We collect your shipment and handle the drop-off at the origin airport, so you're not making a freight terminal run yourself.
Customs Handled En Route
Import and export documentation is prepared and filed as part of the shipment, not as a separate step you manage.
Real-Time Tracking
Every air shipment gets a tracking number the moment it's picked up, visible on our tracking page from pickup to delivery.
When air freight makes sense
- A hard deadline that ocean or ground transit time can't meet
- High-value or fragile goods where less time in transit means less risk
- Perishable goods that can't sit in transit for weeks
- Smaller, lighter shipments where the weight-based cost stays reasonable
For larger, heavier, non-urgent shipments, ocean freight is usually the more economical choice — our guide on choosing between ocean and air walks through the trade-off in more detail.
